This Privacy Policy explains how Zayn Computer Center ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, keeps and protects your personal data when you visit zayncomputercenter.com (the "Site"), buy from us online or in person, or contact us. We process personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
1. Who we are
Zayn Computer Center, a sole proprietorship registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI Business Name Registration No. 8032742), owned and operated by Josephus Ambalong Ramos. We are the personal information controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our principal place of business is Rm 401, CSC Banawa, Paseo Arcenas, Banawa, Labangon, Cebu City, Cebu 6000, Philippines.

2. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
Account: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form; we cannot see it.
Orders: your name, email, phone, delivery address (including barangay and postal code), order notes, the products you buy, coupon codes and order history. If you check out as a guest, we keep the same details with your order.
Saved addresses and wishlist: addresses you save in your account and the products you add to your wishlist.
Business purchases: if you ask for a business invoice, your registered business name, Tax Identification Number (TIN) and business address, which we print on the invoice.
Senior citizen and PWD discounts: the type of discount and your OSCA or PWD ID number, which we need to apply the discount the law grants you. For in-store purchases we also record the name on the ID, as the law requires.
Reviews and product questions: what you write, and the name on your account (or the name you give us) shown publicly with it. An email address you give with a question is never shown publicly.
Messages to us: the contact form (name, email, message), chat messages you send through the chat on the Site, callback requests (name, phone, preferred time and reason), business quote requests (business and contact details, and what you want to buy), back-in-stock alerts (your email and the product), and return requests (reason, notes and items).
Affiliate program: if you join, your affiliate code, the orders referred through your link (order number and amount only, never the buyer's details), your commission, and the payout details you give us.
Information collected automatically
Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, which our servers record in their logs to run and secure the Site.
Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 7, including analytics and advertising cookies unless you decline them.
Information from others
Our payment provider tells us whether your online payment succeeded and gives us its payment reference. We never receive your full card number or CVV.
3. How we use your data, and on what basis
To take, deliver and support your order (processing, payment, delivery, invoices, order emails and text messages, returns, refunds and warranty claims): because it is necessary to fulfil our contract with you.
To meet our legal obligations (tax invoices and records, senior citizen and PWD discount records, consumer protection, and lawful requests from authorities): because the law requires it.
To run, secure and improve the Site (keeping you signed in, preventing fraud and abuse, fixing problems, and understanding which pages and products are useful): based on our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
To measure and improve our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram: based on our legitimate interests, and only while you have not declined analytics and advertising cookies on our cookie notice (see section 7).
To answer your questions, quotes and callback requests: because you asked us to.
To show your reviews and answered questions to other shoppers: because you chose to post them.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not send marketing emails or text messages; if we ever start, we will ask for your consent first and every message will let you unsubscribe. Messages about your orders are not marketing and are part of the service.
4. Sensitive personal information
Some data we handle is sensitive personal information under the Data Privacy Act: senior citizen and PWD ID numbers, and an individual's TIN. We collect it only when you ask for the discount or for a business invoice, use it only for that purpose and our legal record-keeping, and limit who on our team can see it.
5. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with service providers who process it for us under contract or under their own published terms:
Maya Philippines, Inc. (Maya Checkout), for online payments: your name, email, phone, billing and delivery address and order details, which Maya also uses to screen payments for fraud. If you choose an option offered on Maya's page, such as BillEase instalments, that provider receives what it needs under its own terms.
Couriers and delivery partners, for delivery: your name, phone and delivery address.
Semaphore, our text message provider: your phone number and order details for order updates.
Email providers (our business email host and our email delivery service): your email address and the content of order, account and support emails, including invoice attachments.
Supabase, for accounts, our database and file storage, and Railway and Netlify, which host our servers and website.
Anthropic, whose AI powers the chat assistant on the Site and some of our internal tools: the messages you type into the chat, and order or customer details when our staff use those tools to help you.
Google (Analytics and Ads), unless you decline: the pages you view and, when you order, the order's reference number, items, total and shipping fee. Google does not receive your name, contact details or payment details.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), unless you decline: the products you view or add to your cart and, when you order, its items and total together with your email, phone, name, city, province and postal code in hashed (scrambled) form, your IP address and browser type. Meta uses these to match orders to ads; it never receives your password or payment details.
Government authorities, such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Trade and Industry, the NPC, courts and law enforcement, when the law requires it.
Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers and auditors) bound by confidentiality, and a buyer or successor of our business if it is ever sold, under this same policy.
6. Transfers outside the Philippines
Some of these providers store or process data outside the Philippines. Our database is hosted in Singapore, and Google, Meta, Anthropic, Netlify, Railway and our email delivery service may process data in the United States, Europe or elsewhere. We use providers that protect personal data with safeguards at least comparable to Philippine law, and we remain responsible for your data when it is processed for us.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use:
Essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, keep your cart, remember your cookie choice, remember an affiliate link for 30 days, resume an unfinished online payment for up to 2 hours, and show products you viewed recently. These stay on because the Site needs them to work.
Analytics and advertising cookies from Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, to understand how the Site is used, measure our ads, and show our products to people who have visited the Site.
Analytics and advertising cookies are on unless you decline them. Choose Decline on the cookie notice, or change your choice at any time with (also at the bottom of every page). Once you decline, Google Analytics and Google Ads stop setting cookies, the Meta Pixel stops sending data, and your orders are not reported to Google or Meta. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first. You can also manage ads in your Google ad settings and your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, and block or delete cookies in your browser.
8. Information you make public
Reviews and answered product questions are public, with the name shown beside them. Please don't include personal details you don't want others to see. You can hide your own review from your account, or ask us to remove a review or question.
9. How long we keep your data
Orders, invoices, receipts and discount records: for as long as Philippine tax, accounting and consumer laws require, generally up to ten years after the transaction. In-store sales records cannot be edited or deleted, by law.
Your account, saved addresses and wishlist: while your account is open. When you ask us to close it, we delete or anonymise these, except what we must keep for the records above.
Support messages, chat, callback and quote requests: up to two years after the conversation ends, unless they relate to an open order or claim.
Back-in-stock alerts: until the alert is sent or you ask us to cancel it.
Ad-measurement data (the browser and ad-click identifiers saved with an order): deleted once the order has been reported, and in any case within 30 days.
Server logs: kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
10. How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout the Site, hashed passwords, a database that only our own servers can reach, role-based access so staff see only what their work needs, staff accounts limited to our company email domain, and rate limits against abuse. Card details are entered only on our payment provider's secure page, never on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so we also review our security regularly.
If a personal data breach is likely to put you at real risk of serious harm, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the people affected within 72 hours of learning of it, as the NPC's rules require, and tell you what we are doing about it.
11. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
be informed about how your personal data is processed;
access the personal data we hold about you;
correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
object to processing, including withdrawing your consent to cookies;
have your data erased or blocked when it is no longer needed or was processed unlawfully;
receive your data in a commonly used electronic format (data portability);
be indemnified for damages caused by unlawful processing; and
file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
You can update your name, phone and addresses yourself in your account. For anything else, including closing your account, email hello@zayncomputercenter.com from the email address on your account or order. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within 30 days. Exercising your rights is free.
12. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone. Our payment provider may automatically decline a payment its fraud checks flag; if that happens, contact us and we will help you complete your order another way.
13. Children
The Site is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please shop with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the new date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will also post a notice on the Site or email account holders before it takes effect.
